Refund Policy
Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal
Lynote offers subscription plans for the billing periods displayed at the time of purchase. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Lynote or its payment processor to charge the applicable subscription fee, together with any applicable taxes, using your selected payment method.
Unless canceled before the next renewal date, your subscription will automatically renew for the same billing period at the then-current price. Where required by applicable law, we will provide advance notice of material price changes.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@lynote.ai. To help ensure that a cancellation is processed before renewal, we recommend completing it at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and you will retain access until that time unless otherwise stated.
Canceling a subscription prevents future renewals but does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund for fees already charged.
General Refund Policy
Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in these Terms, subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not normally provide refunds or credits for:
- partially used billing periods;
- unused subscription time or credits;
- failure to cancel before a renewal is processed;
- subjective dissatisfaction with AI-generated outputs, AI detection scores, or other probabilistic results;
- failure of an output to meet personal, academic, professional, or third-party requirements;
- issues caused by a user’s device, internet connection, browser, third-party service, or failure to follow provided instructions; or
- changes to pricing, plan features, usage limits, or credit rates that are disclosed and implemented in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any non-waivable rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer protection laws.
Technical Issues and Service Defects
If a verified, material technical defect attributable to Lynote prevents you from using a core paid feature, please contact us promptly. We may ask you to provide reasonable information necessary to investigate the issue, such as your account email, transaction details, screenshots, error messages, and the steps needed to reproduce the problem.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide the legally required remedy. This may include correcting the defect, restoring access, providing replacement credits, reducing the price, allowing termination, or issuing a partial or full refund.
Where a refund is not legally required, Lynote may, in its reasonable discretion, offer a refund, service extension, or replacement credits as a goodwill remedy. Such discretionary remedies do not restrict your statutory consumer rights.
EU and EEA Consumers
If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 calendar days after the contract is concluded, without providing a reason.
To exercise this right, you must send a clear withdrawal request to support@lynote.ai before the withdrawal period expires. Accessing or using Lynote’s subscription service does not, by itself, waive this statutory right.
If you expressly requested that the Service begin during the withdrawal period and subsequently exercise your right of withdrawal, Lynote may, to the extent permitted by applicable law, deduct or charge a proportionate amount for the Service provided before your withdrawal.
Any exception applying to separately supplied digital content will apply only where all legal requirements have been satisfied, including your prior express consent to immediate supply and your express acknowledgment that doing so will cause you to lose the applicable right of withdrawal.
Refund Requests and Processing
Refund requests must be submitted to support@lynote.ai and should include:
- the email address associated with your account;
- the transaction or order number;
- the date and amount of the charge;
- the reason for the request; and
- any supporting evidence relevant to the request.
Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution. If a refund is issued, Lynote may terminate the refunded subscription and remove any related unused credits, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
